*”Aaron Brooks Wins 3rd Straight NCAA Title, Leads Penn State to Team Victory”*

Pittsburgh, PA – Penn State wrestler Aaron Brooks made history on Saturday night, winning his third consecutive NCAA title at 184 pounds and leading the Nittany Lions to their 9th national team championship under coach Cael Sanderson.

 

Brooks, a junior from Hagerstown, Maryland, dominated his way through the tournament, winning all five of his matches by bonus points. He defeated Iowa’s Abe Assad 8-2 in the championship finals.

 

“It’s an amazing feeling to win another national title,” said Brooks. “I’m so grateful to my coaches, teammates, and family for their support.”

 

Brooks’ individual title was one of three won by Penn State wrestlers on Saturday night, as Roman Bravo-Young (133 pounds) and Carter Starocci (174 pounds) also claimed national championships.
