Pittsburgh, PA – The Penn State Nittany Lions wrestling team put on a dominant performance at the NCAA Championships, winning their 9th national title under the guidance of legendary coach Cael Sanderson.
Penn State accumulated 129.5 team points, outpacing second-place Iowa by 22.5 points. The Nittany Lions crowned three individual national champions, including Aaron Brooks (184 pounds), Roman Bravo-Young (133 pounds), and Carter Starocci (174 pounds).
“It’s an incredible feeling to win another national title,” said Sanderson. “I’m so proud of our team and the way they performed on the biggest stage.”
The championship marks Penn State’s 11th overall NCAA wrestling title and solidifies the program’s position as one of the most dominant forces in college wrestling.
