*Penn State’s Roman Bravo-Young Named NCAA Wrestler of the Week: Senior Earns Honor After Winning Keystone Classic*

 

University Park, PA – Penn State wrestler Roman Bravo-Young has been named the NCAA Wrestler of the Week after winning the Keystone Classic last weekend. Bravo-Young, a senior from Tucson, Arizona, went 4-0 at the tournament, winning the 133-pound title.

 

*Bravo-Young’s Dominant Performance*

 

Bravo-Young was dominant throughout the Keystone Classic, winning all four of his matches by bonus points. He defeated his opponents by a combined score of 42-6, including a 16-0 technical fall in the championship match.

“Roman is wrestling at an incredibly high level right now,” said Penn State wrestling coach Cael Sanderson. “He’s got a great combination of speed, agility, and strength, and he’s using all of those tools to dominate his opponents.”

 

*Bravo-Young’s Season Statistics*

 

Bravo-Young is now 18-0 on the season, with 12 of his wins coming by bonus points. He is also ranked No. 1 in the country at 133 pounds in the latest NCAA coaches’ poll.

The Nittany Lions will be back in action on Friday night, when they host Iowa in a highly anticipated dual meet. The meet will be broadcast live on the Big Ten Network.
