Penn State Wrestler Cracks Top 5: Braeden Davis Moves to No. 5 at 133 Pounds
University Park, PA – The latest wrestling rankings are out via Intermat, and Penn State wrestler Braeden Davis has cracked the top five at 133 pounds. Davis, a sophomore from Huxley, Iowa, moved from No. 6 to No. 5 in the rankings, solidifying his position as one of the top wrestlers in the country.
*Davis’ Impressive Season*
Davis has been on a tear this season, winning 14 of his 15 matches, including a 4-2 decision over previously undefeated No. 3-ranked wrestler, Patrick McKee of Minnesota. His only loss came against No. 1-ranked wrestler, Roman Bravo-Young of Penn State’s rival, Ohio State.

“Braeden has been wrestling at an incredibly high level all season,” said Penn State head coach Cael Sanderson. “He’s got a great combination of athleticism, technique, and toughness, and he’s only going to continue to get better.”

Davis is focused on helping Penn State win its fifth consecutive NCAA team title and earning his first individual national championship.
