University Park, PA – The Penn State wrestling team is gearing up for the Big Ten Championships, and the latest national rankings have the Nittany Lions poised for success.
According to the latest InterMat rankings, Penn State has an impressive 10 wrestlers ranked in the top 10 of their respective weight classes, including five No. 1-ranked wrestlers:
– Beau Bartlett (141 pounds)
– Tyler Kasak (157 pounds)
– Mitchell Mesenbrink (165 pounds)
– Carter Starocci (184 pounds)
– Greg Kerkvliet (285 pounds)
Additionally, Penn State has two wrestlers ranked No. 2 in their weight classes: Shayne Van Ness (149 pounds) and Josh Barr (197 pounds).
The Nittany Lions’ strong showing in the national rankings is a testament to the team’s depth and talent. With the Big Ten Championships just around the corner, Penn State is looking to make a statement and assert its dominance in the conference.
