University Park, PA – Penn State’s Carter Starocci is on a mission to cement his legacy as one of the greatest collegiate wrestlers of all time. The two-time NCAA champion and three-time finalist is seeking his third national title at 174 pounds.
Starocci’s impressive resume includes a 2021 NCAA title at 174 pounds and a 2022 title at the same weight class. He’s also a three-time Big Ten champion and has been named the Big Ten Wrestler of the Year twice.
“Carter is one of the most dominant wrestlers in the country,” said Penn State head coach Cael Sanderson. “He’s got a great combination of technique, strength, and athleticism. He’s a true leader on our team.”
