_NITTANY LIONS ENTER FINAL WEEK OF REGULAR SEASON AS UNANIMOUS NO. 1 RANKED TEAM_
University Park, PA – The Penn State Nittany Lions wrestling team enters the final week of the regular season as the unanimous No. 1 ranked team in the country.
Penn State, which has been ranked No. 1 for the entire season, received all 20 first-place votes in the latest NWCA Coaches Poll.
The Nittany Lions have dominated their competition this season, winning 13 dual meets by an average margin of 25.5 points. They have also won three tournament titles, including the prestigious Southern Scuffle.
“We’re proud of our team’s accomplishments so far this season,” said Penn State head coach Cael Sanderson. “But we know that we still have a lot of work to do if we want to achieve our goals.”
Penn State will close out the regular season with a dual meet against Iowa on Friday. The meet is scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m. ET.
