BARTLETT NAMED BIG TEN WRESTLER OF THE WEEK
University Park, PA – Penn State wrestler Beau Bartlett has been named the Big Ten Wrestler of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.
Bartlett, ranked No. 1 nationally at 141 pounds, earned the honor after his impressive performance against Ohio State. The junior major decisioned No. 3 Real Woods, 12-4, to help Penn State secure a 30-8 win over the Buckeyes.
“Beau’s performance was outstanding,” said Penn State head coach Cael Sanderson. “He’s been wrestling at a high level all season, and it’s great to see him recognized by the Big Ten.”
Bartlett’s win improved his season record to 17-0, with 10 bonus-point victories. He is one of six Penn State wrestlers currently ranked No. 1 nationally.
