
PENN STATE WRESTLING DOMINATES AMERICAN 50-3

University Park, PA – The Penn State Nittany Lions wrestling team dominated the American Eagles 50-3 in a non-conference dual meet.
Penn State won nine of the 10 bouts, with seven wrestlers recording bonus-point wins. No. 1 Beau Bartlett (141 pounds), No. 1 Carter Starocci (174 pounds), and No. 1 Greg Kerkvliet (285 pounds) all recorded major decisions, while No. 1 Levi Haines (157 pounds), No. 2 Shayne Van Ness (149 pounds), and No. 2 Aaron Nagao (133 pounds) earned technical falls.
“We had a great team effort tonight,” said Penn State head coach Cael Sanderson. “Our guys are competing at a high level, and it’s exciting to see.”
The win improves Penn State’s dual meet record to 10-0, while American falls to 2-8.
