On January 24, 2025, the Penn State Nittany Lions wrestling team defeated Rutgers 35-3 in a Big Ten dual meet at Jersey Mike’s Arena in Piscataway, New Jersey. Penn State won nine of ten bouts, including four technical falls, and achieved a 24-1 takedown advantage. The victory extended their record to 9-0 overall and 3-0 in the conference. The sole loss was at 125 pounds, where true freshman Luke Lilledahl fell to No. 19 Dean Peterson. The match was held before a sold-out crowd of 8,057 fans.
