**Penn State Wrestling Dominates Visiting Maryland 35-10 in B1G Action**
*State College, PA* – The Penn State Nittany Lions showcased their wrestling dominance once again, as they cruised to a 35-10 victory over the Maryland Terrapins in Big Ten wrestling action on Friday night at the Bryce Jordan Center.
The Nittany Lions, led by head coach Cael Sanderson, asserted their strength in front of a packed home crowd, winning seven of the ten bouts on the evening. The victory moved Penn State to an impressive 12-0 overall record and extended their unbeaten conference run.
Starting strong, Penn State opened the dual with a dominant 12-4 win from Roman Bravo-Young at 133 pounds, followed by a gritty 7-3 decision from Beau Bartlett at 141 pounds. Maryland fought back in a few matches, including a big victory at 157 pounds, but Penn State’s wrestlers were relentless.
Perhaps the most impressive performance of the night came from 174-pounder Carter Starocci, who won with a 16-1 major decision, showing why he’s considered one of the top wrestlers in the nation. Other key victories came from the heavy hitters, including Max Dean at 197 pounds, who picked up a commanding 5-1 win.
The Terps were able to pick up wins at 157 and 165 pounds, but it wasn’t enough to challenge the overall Penn State advantage. With the crowd roaring after each win, the Nittany Lions capitalized on their depth and experience, closing out the match with solid victories in the heavier weight classes.
With this dominant victory, Penn State continues to show why they are the top team in college wrestling, while Maryland, despite a tough loss, remains a growing force in the Big Ten.
