While GM Brad Treliving is likely searching for defensive help and possibly a goaltender, the team lacks premium trade assets beyond their top young players.
Cowan, a dynamic winger, has been outstanding in the OHL, while Minten, a two-way center, briefly cracked the Leafs’ roster this season. Moving either would be a steep price but might be necessary to acquire a significant upgrade.
