Hey, Bob! Penn State’s talented 2025 team still has an issue at quarterback….

As the 2025 season approaches, Penn State is poised to have one of its most talented teams in recent years, but there remains a significant question mark at the quarterback position. Despite boasting a powerful defense, explosive skill players, and a solid offensive line, the Nittany Lions have yet to find a consistent and reliable leader under center. This lingering uncertainty could be a crucial factor in their pursuit of a Big Ten championship and a potential College Football Playoff berth.

The team’s quarterback situation is somewhat up in the air following the departure of veteran Drew Allar, who was expected to be the starter. Penn State’s coaching staff has rotated through a few potential candidates, but none have seized the role with the level of consistency that the program needs. As of now, the starting quarterback spot remains undecided, with sophomore prospect Beau Pribula, who has shown flashes of potential, and true freshman Liam McNeil both in the mix for the position.

While both quarterbacks have the athletic ability and talent to run Penn State’s offense, they will need to develop more experience and poise under pressure. Head coach James Franklin has been vocal about the importance of the quarterback position in shaping the team’s future, knowing that a stable, dynamic signal-caller will be key to challenging for a conference title and national prominence.

With a talented roster around them, whoever wins the job will need to perform at a high level to elevate the Nittany Lions’ offense and make a push for the program’s first College Football Playoff appearance.
