Sources: Arsenal and Man City battling to sign £70m star after Marmoush

Arsenal and Manchester City are reportedly competing to sign Eintracht Frankfurt’s forward Omar Marmoush, who is valued at around £50 million. Marmoush, a 25-year-old Egyptian international, has been in exceptional form this season, recording 18 goals and 12 assists in 24 matches across all competitions.

Manchester City has shown a strong interest in Marmoush, with manager Pep Guardiola identifying him as a key target to bolster their attacking options following the departure of Julian Alvarez to Atletico Madrid. City is reportedly in advanced negotiations with Marmoush’s representatives and is prepared to offer a long-term contract. However, Eintracht Frankfurt’s director of football, Markus Krosche, has stated that it would take “something extraordinary” for the club to agree to a sale during the January transfer window.

Arsenal is also monitoring Marmoush’s situation closely, as manager Mikel Arteta seeks to strengthen the squad’s attacking capabilities. The Gunners are expected to challenge Manchester City for the player’s signature, potentially leading to a bidding war between the Premier League rivals.

In addition to Marmoush, Manchester City is pursuing other transfer targets, including Lens defender Abdukodir Khusanov and Palmeiras’ Brazilian teenager Vitor Reis, as part of their efforts to reinforce the squad in multiple positions.
