Coach Ben Johnson Reveals Offseason Plan for QB Caleb Williams…
New Chicago Bears coach Ben Johnson has outlined his plan to develop quarterback Caleb Williams during the team’s offseason program.
Johnson, who was hired in January, emphasized the importance of building a strong foundation with Williams, who is expected to be the team’s starter in 2025.
“Our focus this offseason is to help Caleb develop his skills and become a more consistent player,” Johnson said. “We’ll be working on his footwork, his decision-making, and his ability to read defenses.”
Johnson also stressed the importance of building a strong rapport between Williams and the team’s receivers.
“We want to create a chemistry between Caleb and his receivers that will allow them to anticipate each other’s moves and make big plays,” Johnson said.
The Bears’ offseason program is set to begin later this month, and Johnson is eager to get started.
“I’m excited to work with Caleb and the rest of our players,” Johnson said. “We’ve got a lot of work to do, but I’m confident that we can make some big strides this offseason.”
