Good news: Bears Strengthen Defense with Signing of Former Packers LB

The Chicago Bears have made a significant addition to their defense, signing former Green Bay Packers linebacker De’Vondre Campbell to a three-year deal.

Campbell, a veteran of seven NFL seasons, brings valuable experience and skill to the Bears’ linebacker corps. He started 16 games for the Packers last season, recording 114 tackles, 2 sacks, and 2 interceptions.

The signing is seen as a major boost to the Bears’ defense, which ranked 23rd in the NFL against the run last season. Campbell’s presence is expected to help shore up the unit and provide a much-needed veteran presence alongside younger players like Jack Sanborn and Noah Sewell.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but it’s believed to be worth around $20 million over the three-year term.

The Bears’ defense will look to build on this offseason’s additions when they take the field for the 2025 NFL season.
