How Penn wrestling went 20-0 on Day 1 of the NCAA Championships in Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA − Penn State wrestling began another historic quest today in the Wells Fargo Center.
Coach Cael Sanderson’s No. 1 Nittany Lions certainly began staking their claim as one of the greatest teams of all time, once again, in these NCAA Championships. The Lions are not only favored to win their 12th national title in 14 years, they began making a run at all-time collegiate records: from most All-Americans in an NCAA tournament to the number of individual finalists and champions.
