Penn State Wrestling Lands Top Recruit: Bo Bassett Commits to Nittany Lions

Penn State wrestling has landed a major commitment from top recruit Bo Bassett. Bassett, a three-time state champion from Pennsylvania, is considered one of the top pound-for-pound recruits in the country.
Bassett, who competes at 152 pounds, is known for his explosive offense and dominant defense. He’s a three-time Powerade Tournament champion and has won numerous national titles in freestyle and Greco-Roman competition.
“I’m thrilled to announce my commitment to Penn State University,” Bassett said. “The opportunity to wrestle for Coach Sanderson and the Nittany Lions is a dream come true.”
Bassett’s commitment is a significant coup for Penn State, which is looking to reload its roster after losing several key starters to graduation. With Bassett on board, the Nittany Lions are poised to remain a dominant force in college wrestling.
“Bo is an incredible talent, and we’re excited to have him join our program,” said Penn State head coach Cael Sanderson. “He’s got a bright future ahead of him, and we’re looking forward to helping him achieve his goals.”
