Roman Bravo-Young Shocks Wrestling World with Sudden Departure from Penn State
University Park, PA – In a stunning move, two-time NCAA champion Roman Bravo-Young has announced his departure from the Penn State wrestling program, effective immediately. Bravo-Young, a 133-pound wrestler, cited a desire to pursue international competition opportunities as the reason for his decision.
“I’m grateful for the experiences and opportunities I’ve had at Penn State, but I feel it’s time for me to take my wrestling career in a new direction,” Bravo-Young said. “I’m excited to represent Mexico on the international stage and compete against the best wrestlers in the world.”
Bravo-Young’s departure is a significant blow to Penn State, which will miss his talent, experience, and leadership on the mat. The Nittany Lions will need to find a new starter at 133 pounds, with several younger wrestlers vying for the spot.
