Penn State Wrestlers Shine at NCAA Championships, Earn Multiple All-American Honors

Detroit, MI – The Penn State wrestling team put on an impressive display at the NCAA Championships, with multiple wrestlers earning All-American honors and contributing to the team’s overall success.

 

The Nittany Lions, who finished second in the team standings, had seven wrestlers earn All-American recognition, including:

 

– Roman Bravo-Young (133 pounds): 2nd place

– Nick Lee (141 pounds): 3rd place

– Carter Starocci (174 pounds): 2nd place

– Aaron Brooks (184 pounds): 2nd place

– Greg Kerkvliet (285 pounds): 4th place

– Beau Bartlett (149 pounds): 5th place

– Max Dean (197 pounds): 6th place

 

“We’re incredibly proud of our guys for their performance at the NCAA Championships,” said Penn State coach Cael Sanderson. “Earning multiple All-American honors is a testament to their hard work and dedication to the sport.”

 

The Nittany Lions’ strong showing at the NCAA Championships capped off an impressive season, which included a Big Ten Championship and a number one ranking in the country for much of the year.

 

Penn State’s wrestling program has a rich tradition of success, with 36 NCAA champions and 18 national team titles under Sanderson’s direction.
