Penn State wrestling alum Bo Nickal has added another impressive accolade to his resume, winning the gold medal at the 2023 World Wrestling Championships.

This marks Nickal’s first World Championship title, and it comes on the heels of his impressive performance at the 2023 US Open, where he won the championship in his weight class.
“Bo’s success at the international level is a testament to his hard work and dedication to the sport,” said Cael Sanderson, Penn State’s wrestling coach. “We’re incredibly proud of him and all that he’s accomplished.”
Nickal’s victory is the latest in a long line of successes for Penn State wrestling alumni, who have gone on to achieve great things in the sport.
